A sleek Airstream trailer topped with a giant three-dimensional cupcake -- complete with pink icing and sprinkles -- operated by Hey Cupcake!, an Austin food-trailer pioneer that helped launch the city's now-famous food-truck scene when it first appeared on West 24th Street in March 2007. The giant cupcake became so iconic and distinctive that Hey Cupcake! later filed a federal copyright, trademark, and deceptive-trade-practices lawsuit against a copycat Airstream-based cupcake business in Indiana. Real cupcakes are only a few inches across, so a rooftop-scale three-dimensional cupcake is dramatically oversized regardless of an exact footage figure. Now operates from The Picnic food-trailer park.
