The story
The Zippo/Case Museum in Bradford, Pennsylvania, announces itself with a lighter on a giant scale. Zippo's own museum page describes a 40-foot Zippo lighter with a pulsating neon flame towering over the entrance, alongside an enormous Case Canoe three-blade pocketknife, while fourteen custom-made Zippo street lighters line the drive up to the building.
The lighter marks a museum with a longer history than the sign. The first museum, the Zippo Family Store and Museum, opened in late 1993, and in 1995 plans began for a new, greatly expanded store and museum. The Zippo/Case Visitors Center had its grand opening on July 18, 1997, during the celebration of Zippo's 65th anniversary.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Zippo's museum page for the Zippo/Case Museum and Flagship Store lists free admission, with hours of Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Parking for buses is free.
ACCESS
At the Zippo/Case Museum and Flagship Store, 1932 Zippo Drive, Bradford, Pennsylvania 16701, just off the US Route 219 expressway. Zippo's museum page places the lighter at the building's entrance, at the end of the drive lined with street lighters.
