FIELD GUIDE
The story
Eight human figures at two and a half times life size, and it took about twenty-four thousand hours to make them.
The Wētā Workshop figures at the centre of Te Papa's Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War are rendered at 2.4 times human size, each depicting a real New Zealander who was at Gallipoli in 1915. The exhibition has been extended until April 2032, which for a temporary display is close to permanence and reflects how completely it has been received.
