Florida Citrus Tower

The Florida Citrus Tower in Clermont, Florida, was built in 1956 as a monument to the local citrus industry, and stands 226 feet tall. Fox 35 Orlando reported in May 2023 that a Colorado-based religious group, Simchat Torah Beit Midrash, had bought the tower the previous September and reopened it to visitors. Ralph Messer of the group told the station: "Our whole idea was to bring it back to what it was years and years ago."

A June 2026 Lake and Sumter Style article said this year marks 70 years since the tower was built, and reported that Rabbi Ralph Messer and his wife, Maureen, bought it in 2022 through Simchat Torah Beit Midrash. It said the campus today includes the historic observation deck, a coffee bar, gift shop, banquet facilities and event space. It said the original roofs need replacing, at approximately $850,000.
