In 2023 the Everett Herald described a 14-foot wooden Bigfoot carving at the Espresso Chalet coffee stand on US Highway 2 near Index, Washington, a site used in the 1987 film Harry and the Hendersons. The Herald said it copies the film's Sasquatch.

FIELD GUIDE
The story
In 2023 the Everett Herald reported that Bigfoot was the reason many drivers pulled in at this coffee stand on US Highway 2 in the Cascade foothills near Index. About half its visitors, it said, came to be photographed with the newest wooden carving, which it measured at 14 feet tall.
The site was used in the 1987 comedy Harry and the Hendersons, in which a Seattle family adopts a Sasquatch. According to the Herald, the stand's owner said the film studio installed a Quonset hut here as the prop 'North American Museum of Anthropology', and it appears on screen for a little over 30 seconds. The stand opened in 1991 and was, in 2023, one of the longest-running coffee stands in Snohomish County, the Herald says. In 2023 the hut was still there, painted green, and the Herald reported that it was closed to the public and used to store cups and lids.
