A 9/11 memorial by sculptor Mark Cline made of two shipping containers converted into miniature replicas of the Twin Towers, in Buena Vista, Virginia. Two separate temporary installations are recorded. A community listing, Roadside America, records a version from 2006 and lists it as gone, with a tipster reporting the containers removed by August 2007. For the 20th anniversary of the attacks a new version was set on a hillside in Glen Maury Park in early September 2021, planned to stay about a month, according to WSLS on 8 September 2021. No source found shows an installation standing there in 2024 to 2026, and none reports a removal date for the 2021 version.
