FIELD GUIDE
The story
Reports from 2023 and 2024 describe the Cookie Jar House in Glendora, in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, as a round house with a lid-like top. WPG Talk Radio (2023), quoting NJ.com, described three floors: storage and a bathroom at ground level, the living room and kitchen above, and two bedrooms at the top.
When it was built is unsettled. WOBM wrote in 2021 that it was built in 1947, 1949 or 1964; WPG gave around 1947 and Urban Splatter, in December 2024, 1949. The New Jersey Digest (2022) says developers planned a community of similar round houses and only this one was built; Urban Splatter says the same and calls the house the prototype.
