FIELD GUIDE
The story
Breezing in Canberra is a sculpture that only works when the weather is doing something.
Kozo Nishino's kinetic work, made from titanium alloy and stainless steel, was commissioned in 2011 and installed at the National Arboretum Canberra in 2015. It is designed to respond visually to wind, air and the sky around it – so the piece is never in the same configuration twice, and on a still day it is doing considerably less than on a gusty one.

ACCESS
breezing in Canberra is in the southern forests of the National Arboretum Canberra. The stored artwork point remains an approximate forest-area anchor rather than an exact sculpture position. Navigate to the Arboretum main car park and continue through the Arboretum using established roads and paths; do not route a vehicle to the sculpture itself.
