The story

Billie the Bigfoot sits at a bend in the road on the edge of Keystone, close enough to Mount Rushmore that, in Cowboy State Daily's account, travelers heading there turn around for a second look. As one visitor told Cowboy State Daily, "We drove by it, and we turned around."
The seated Sasquatch is about 23 feet tall and was carved with chainsaws from ponderosa pine, cedar and cottonwood by Dahl's Chainsaw Art, the business of brothers Jarrett and Jordan Dahl. He holds a flagpole 54 feet tall, the height Cowboy State Daily says the figure would reach standing. Round logs on the limbs and torso suggest a shaggy coat.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Roadside Sasquatch on the corner of the Dahl's Chainsaw Art property, with more carvings and a gift shop around it. Cowboy State Daily (September 2026) described visitors pulling off the highway to wander the grounds while chainsaws buzzed; the business says visitors may catch a carver at work.
ACCESS
At Dahl's Chainsaw Art, 121 Roy St., Keystone, SD 57751, on the corner of Highway 16A, visible from the road. The grounds belong to a working gallery business, so respect posted limits and check its hours before going in.
