FIELD GUIDE
The story
Maree saw a souvenir spoon at Niagara Falls, and Charleville ended up with a two-metre version of one.
When she and Guy moved to Charleville and bought the Warrego Motel a couple of years earlier, they decided they wanted a Big Thing of their own – the town already had a big seat, a kangaroo and a fish, and they saw no reason to be left out. Maree annotated a photograph of the Niagara spoon showing how she wanted it customised, and the details were settled by email with Natureworks while she and Guy were still travelling.
