FIELD GUIDE

The story

Two thousand kilograms of steel, in the shape of a rose, for a festival's fiftieth birthday.
The Rose of the Burnett was unveiled in Biggenden in 2016 to commemorate fifty years since the Biggenden Rose Festival was established, and it was made by the local artist Craig Nelson. It stands on Edward Street in the centre of town, about seventy kilometres west of Maryborough.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Rose of the Burnett is a two-tonne steel rose sculpture on Edward Street in the centre of Biggenden, celebrating the town's long association with its Rose Festival.
ACCESS
The Rose of the Burnett stands in the Edward Street rose-garden/town-centre setting in Biggenden. The existing site point remains a source-confirmed Edward Street reference and the precise sculpture pin is still an open verification item. The former direct-arrival coordinate was the generic Biggenden locality point, not a verified parking destination, so direct driving directions are withheld.
