FIELD GUIDE
The story
The pub is called the Rabbit Trap Hotel, and there is a giant rabbit trap on the roof.
Albert is a very small village in central-western New South Wales, and the hotel is essentially the town. The oversized ornamental trap mounted on its roof is the sort of object that only makes sense with the local history attached, and the history here is a serious one.
