FIELD GUIDE
The story
You can play it. That single fact separates Narrandera's guitar from every other oversized instrument in this catalogue, which are without exception sculptures of instruments rather than instruments.
Robert Palmer, a Narrandera local, built it in 1988 to help promote the Country Music Club of Narrandera. It is made of plywood, measures 5.820 by 2.019 metres, took more than three hundred hours to complete, and held the world record as the biggest playable guitar until 2000.
