FIELD GUIDE

The story

Orange World runs ten thousand citrus trees and turns over more than twenty million pieces of fruit a year. The smiling orange at the gate is advertising a genuinely industrial operation.
The attraction sits at 93 Link Road, Mourquong, just across the New South Wales border from Mildura, and grows oranges, mandarins, grapefruit and avocados. Visitors take tractor tours through the orchard, which is a rather better proposition than a fruit stall: you see the actual scale of a modern citrus block rather than a display of its output.
