FIELD GUIDE
The story
Three concrete moa stand inside the pub.
They belong to the Moa Bar within the Te Poi Country Tavern, and they are part of the same body of work as everything else outside – Gordon Rose's collection of oversized concrete sculptures, which also includes the six-metre cow, the calf, the hamburger, a kiwi and a golf ball. The moa are the ones he kept indoors.

WHAT TO EXPECT
NZ Herald and specialist documentation identify three large Gordon Rose moa sculptures inside the tavern. Because they are indoors within a licensed commercial venue, they are treated as access-restricted rather than a roadside stop.
ACCESS
Inside Te Poi Country Tavern. Visitor access depends on venue opening and normal patron conditions; no independent arrival pin is needed beyond the business site.
