This Big Thing is recorded as still being here.
A 25-foot-long steel bulldog sculpture overlooking the entrance to Heights High School on East 13th Street, Houston, created in 2018 by folk artist Joe Barrington and crew, sponsored by Redbud Gallery as part of the SPARK Project. Real bulldogs stand roughly 1-1.5 ft tall, so the 25-ft sculpture is dramatically oversized. Visible from outside the school grounds, though not open to the public for close access.
