FIELD GUIDE

The story

Twenty-three thousand six hundred and seventy-five kilograms of gold, over thirty-five years, from an eighteen-kilometre goldfield.
RACQ supplies those numbers, along with the fact that Croydon was once the third largest town in north Queensland, home to seven thousand miners, and is now considered the heritage capital of the Gulf.
