FIELD GUIDE
The story
Giant potatoes with giant red forks stuck in them, on the Princes Highway outside a shop called The Spud Shed. The proposition could not be clearer.
What lifts the arrangement above a plain oversized vegetable is the cutlery. A giant potato on its own is produce; a giant potato with a fork driven into it is food, mid-meal, and the red of the forks against the brown gives the group the colour contrast that a paddock-coloured tuber badly needs from a moving car.
