A 170-foot cross built by Sagemont Church in Houston, Texas, and put up over the weekend of 7 February 2009. The church's founding pastor, John Morgan, conceived it on 21 October 2007 as he neared the top of the overpass connecting I-45 and Beltway 8 on his way to church. The church describes it as a spiritual landmark based on John 12:32. The church says visitors are welcome at the foot of the cross at any time and that people have been baptised in the water around it.
